How do I enroll in the clinics?

Students enroll in the clinics by registering as they do for any other course. Space is limited, however, and students are allowed in on a first come basis. Students not able to get into a clinic are encouraged to put their name on the waitlist.

What are the prerequisites for the clinics?

The following prerequisites must be met to be eligible for enrollment in a clinic:

Civil Practice Clinic: Completion of 45 credit hours and either completion of or current enrollment in Professional Responsibility
Criminal Defense Clinic: Completion of 45 credit hours, Criminal Law, Professional Responsibility, Evidence, and Criminal Procedure I
Disability Clinic: Completion of all basic-level required courses

Will I get experience working with live clients and going to court?

Yes.
