Dean's Message
|
Dear Alumni and Friends: I hope this message finds you and those close to you safe and healthy
in the new year. As we start this new semester, the
tragic situation unfolding in Haiti reminds us that challenges can
come not only from terrorist attacks but from natural disasters as well. A
public television documentary showing a groundbreaking counter-terrorism
simulation which was held as an experiential learning exercise at the law school
in October will air tomorrow night (Thursday, January 21at 7:30
p.m. on WFYI 1, 20DT). We believe there are many lessons for public officials
and for all of us in the challenging questions our students faced during that
exercise----lessons that may be useful in a variety of circumstances in the
future, including natural disasters. I hope you will be able to watch this exciting documentary.
Sincerely, Gary R. Roberts Dean and Professor of Law
